Grumpy mood, self-indulgence

When I'm in a bad mood, I get all self-indulgenty, which is probably very bad for me, I know, but whatever.

Tea and toast. I don't think that anyone could ever accuse me of being an Anglophile, but I adore the idea of afternoon tea. I find it terribly soothing, and it's very important for me to have it when I'm in a rut.

Poetry. I usually don't like poems very much. Because my brain just hates processing their broken lines. (Sounds very dyslexic, I know.) But then sometimes there is nothing like a good heart-broken poem to add to the stupor. And my sister has a 100+ page Word doc with all her favorites, so they're easily accessible.

St Vincent. Her music I keep special for whenever I feel depressed, uber-romantic-for-no-reason, or like going on a killing spree. Her song What, Me Worry? is especially beautiful.

New books. I have come to the conclusion that reading is probably not very good for me. It makes me irritable and gloomy and I wants to slap anyone who interrupts me, obviously making my already bad mood worse, but I can't quit.

Reading celeb gossip and looking at candids. Haha, haaa, ha, tee, hee... DON'T JUDGE. I like it. Living vicariously through famous people, laughing at their ridiculous get-ups, deciding which celeb couple will stay together the longest and passing judgment on Katie Holmes' parenting skills. Utopia, for sure.

Izzies. I love these things soo much, and when I found out that Rite Aid down the street sells them for 99 cents? Well, now whenever I need to splurge a little, they're right at my finger tips!

Well. Today I have way too much to get done and not nearly enough time... So it's time to get up and face life. Wish me well.

Cheer up darling! reading is NOT bad for you and if you are already grumpy then why not be grumpy happy (If you know what i mean :D).
And i am also a big believer in afternoon tea. Sometime you just need a little break in the middle of the day!

I SO know what you mean about getting in a mood when you read... People always accuse me of that and it annoys me...but it's true. Who wants to be interrupted when reading a good book? I DIED when I was 13 and reading HP 5 and I had to EAT DINNER. (I ended up eating a cold dinner by myself at 11 pm with the book in front of me...)

And... )99 cents for an Izze??? Oh. YES.

Who needs dinner when you have Harry Potter? When the 7th book came out I can't even remember if I ate.
