My Ugly Collages

I kinda have a history of making these things on Photoshop. Most of them are inside jokes wrapped in insanity, but maybe you'll find them amusing. They get bigger when clicked on obvs.

I make a mockery of Tumblr.

A happy collage. These are a few of her favorite thingsss!

Okay, so if you've ever been to Fandom Secrets you'll get this. If you've never been there, I don't recommend it.

My best friend's birthday collage, with a GoshDarnSexyCheeseStick.

If hipsters made Harry Potter. (And if you don't recognize all these actors than you are not a hipster.)

My taste in television vs my besties taste...

My coffee tastes like it's from a bodega. And I am digging this song.

Web Comics

There ain't nothing like a good webcomic.

XKCD. I guess everyone reads this comic, but it's still one of my favorites. And their merch is ammazing!

Beartato and Reginald by Anthony. They're like Bert and Ernie or something, only cooler. They're bros, ladies men and AWESOME.

Hark! A Vagrant! by Kate Beaton. I got to meet this classy Canadian artist. She really is the most genius lady ever.

The Dreamer by Lora Innes. Anyone who has ever loved Revolutionary War history and sexy men will love this.

Skadi by Katie Rice. I have such a love-hate relationship with Skadi! It's hysterical and genius and kinda scary...

Wondermark by lots of dudes. I really love these. Sarcastic history is my favorite kind of history.

Hyperbole and a Half. Okay, so this isn't really a web comic- more like an illustrated blog. BUT. It may be the most beautiful thing on the entire internet.

Happy Michaelmas everyone! Go eat some blackberries while you still can.

Also new music alert!! Best Coast!

The Strangest of the Strange

The biggest baddest Farscape endeavors into the untried world of weird. It's an odd show to begin with and then their "weird" episodes come along and... well...

Season 1, Episode 17, Through the Looking Glass. Moya is trapped in multiple, rainbow dimensions

Season 2, Episode 4, Crackers Don't Matter. Oh, but they do.

Season 2, Episode 9, Out of their Minds. Poor Aeryn must watch Rygel in her body.

Season 2, Episode 15, Won't Get Fooled Again. Especially not when Rygel heads NASA.

Season 3, Episode 13, Scratch and Sniff. In which Mrs. Browder turns Jool into a drug for the space mob.

Season 3, Episode 16, Revenging Angel. Yes, this really did happen.

Season 4, Episode 7, John Quixote. The most perfect 43 minutes in the history of television.

Season 4, Episode 12, Kansas. Well, at least it was Halloween!

I keep thinking it's Friday. Oh well. Have a happy day-after-hump-day.

Fears and Phobias

So, what am I afraid of?? I can think of four. But I do not have any great fear, or at least I do not thing so. I should confront a Boggart.

Fires. I love fire on a small level. I'm never scared of candles or fireplaces or anything. But houses-burning-down fires have always been a fear of mine. I was really happy when I found out that entire apartment buildings do not burn down.

Being alone in a subway car. THIS IS A VERY SENSIBLE FEAR. Also I can never be in the front car cause then if we crash I am the first to die.

Cockroaches. I do not have a fear of bugs in general. I am okay with worms and spiders and stuff. But the cockroach is just this whole new level of gross. I think it's just a childhood hang up- before we adopted our cat our house was plagued by them. Okay, I didn't see them everyday or anything, but enough that they permanently damaged my psych.

People climbing in the window of my house. So, once again, living in an apartment has saved me! No one can climb through
my window! Except for Spiderman...

Tea and biscuits make math way funner... so fun I stop paying attention to the math. Haha.

Evil Girly Post

I thought I'd do something gloriously horrific and teenagegirlish and make a ~*~favorite kisses~*~ post!! I am not even sure if I should post this due to shame. But let's be honest. We all have this list somewhere in our brains. ;)

Thornton and Margaret, North and South.
One of the more ~romantic~ kisses ever. My whole family gathers round when this scene comes.

Sawyer and Kate, The Glass Ballerina.
This remains the best kiss ever filmed. Apart from Lost and the shipping wars it has this eternal quality.

Johnny and Penelope, Penelope.
This wins the award for cutest kiss ever. I love the circular way it was filmed.

Clark and Lois, Crossfire.
This scene was just so Superman!! It has an comicbook kind of grandeur.

Mulder and Scully, I Want to Believe.
I love this one because it's the culmination of sixteen years together. How many kisses have that much time behind them?

Will and Elizabeth, At World's End.
Like the Penelope one, I just love circular kiss shots! Also it's during an epic rainy sea battle!!

I had mac'n'cheese for lunch which is a king among lunches. School. Lots of school.

Back to school and other things

School is boring. But it is way better than being bored! And I was going crazy. Here are my main subjects this year.

History. I am doing World History. Which is cool, but I need to rewire by brain... I'm still in America!!!!!! mode. One day in. I'm already tired of stupid China.

Math. SAT prepping, still, cause I'm retaking the stupid thing. And Trig, but that's not till later this year.

English. I'm reading Young Werther right now, hahaha. He was the original Emo poet child.

German 3. It's scary! It's soo scary!!!! But I'm really exciting, I can't wait to do mad translations!

Science. I'm usually a science idiot but I'm bravely attacking Chem. Maybe I'm not actually a science idiot. Who knows.

In general... everything went better then I expected. (Amusing use of favorite internet meme is amusing.)

Tonight will most likely be boring. Since we finished the X-Files our evenings have decreased in quality. Ah well. Fringe in two weeks, so that's good I guess.

My ~Heros~

Two current, one historical and two fictional.

Susan Wise Bauer. She has been my number 1 role model in life since I was in middle school. She's written history and curriculum and fiction. She's a pastor's wife and a homeschool mom, an author, historian and a professor at a college. Basically she is the Renaissance woman. She's such an inspirational example to all girls who want to have a family but also feel as if there is a career that is calling to them. Also she's really funny, which is something that I find awesome because she is not just brilliant, she is also personable. This is her blog- it's awesome. Lastly I met her, and basically told her she was my idol.

Dana Scully. I can't put it into words but I feel like Scully is the best of what any one, man or woman, could be. She exudes character qualities. I could start reading off from a list, and they'd all apply to her. (Yet she is still very real and not MarySueish at all. Good writing, what are ya gonna do?) Her loyalty and dedication to Mulder and to what she believes is right, even when she has a hard time believing or accepting it all, is inspirational. Plus dedication. Hard work. Decisiveness. These are the most important qualities.

Abigail Adams. If you ever feel like the Biblical term of "help meet" is limiting or lame, then look at Abigail, one of the most amazing women who ever lived. She was brilliant and spent her life supporting her husband and a shared cause. I'm hesitant to say she "knew her place" but she was content to doing her share of the revolution from the home where she could best serve John. Society was very different then obviously, but I can't imagine any life better than one supporting a man like John Adams. "Remember the Ladies."

Marilynne Robinson. Author, Christian, theologian practically. Her essay entitled Family was so brilliant I want to put the entire thing in my "quotes" section on Facebook. Basically everything she writes is amazing. She is an award winning, PHD holding scholar and author. She gives me hope for the future of Christianity in America, because her books are critically acclaimed and widespread. She is just an amazing person, and what Christian teenage girl would not want to emulate her?

Hermione Granger. I am jealous of her work ethic. She in an inspiration to me when it comes to rising to the occasion. That is something I have a very hard time doing. I am the person who will wait for someone else to volunteer. Hermione is always ready, always prepared. She went into the wizarding world a complete outsider. She didn't listen to anyone, didn't care what they thought of her. She mastered basically everything, saved the world and took over the wizard legal system. I mean, how can you not look up to her?!

As a child I wrote a bit. As a teenager I have written exactly two short stories. And now I have embarked on the journey of writing (and perfecting) a real story. I think it'll be like 30 pages. What have I gotten myself INTO?!

Youtube is a redic place

It is full of such lovely things and strange and fascinating music.

Viva La Pop. The billboard mashup of 2008, by far the best yet.

Brodyquest. Ngl, I listen to this song like it was Lady Gaga or Bjork. I just chill and listen to it and laugh till I want to cry because it is beautiful.

The Alice Song. Oh, this is good. Like hypnotically good.

Bounce. If you do not even crack a smile at this then you do not deserve The Internet.

T. Listen to me carefully. If you are not already listening to iamamiwhoami then you will start right now.

Charlie Bit Me, Autotuned. My sister is so obsessed with this.

Lion King in Danish. I don't know why I find this so funny...

Doggett and Reyes, stop
seducing me with your cuteness, making me forget how much I miss Mulder. I love that Scully took his fish to live with her. That is just too endearing to me.
