A Disney free-for-all

Because we're going to DISNEY WORLD in 35 days and because Tangled made me cry and because I didn't just sell my soul to them, I also seem to have sold them my my higher brain functions as well.

1. Favorite animator? GLEN KEANE. That man is like, the god of Disney animation. He did Penny, Eilonwy, Ariel, The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Tarzan and was the Executive Producer and Animation Director for Tangled. He has such an incredible talent for eyes. I could write many pages declaring my love for him.

2. Favorite era? I'm a huge fan of Disney's Dark Age. I love 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, Winnie the Pooh, Sword in the Stone. All these movies have a very dark, sketchy style. They're gorgeous.

3. Favorite princess movie? Beauty and the Beast. Because it's like a Broadway show. It's epic and colorful and perfect from start to finish.

4. Favorite animal movie? Lady and the Tramp!! The art direction is lovely, I love the characters. It's just special for me.

5. Favorite female characters? Tiana, because she is a fully functioning adult- that's not something we see often. Wendy, because she's charming as anything and I've always had a soft spot for her. Rapunzel, because she's young but she is also capable of making mature decisions and takes responsibility for herself. Lilo, because she is one of the most realistic and brilliantly written characters Disney has ever done. Belle, because she's my spirit animal or whatever. Alice because she's one of the more subtle Disney girls.

6. Favorite male characters? Let's just be shallow here for a moment, kay? NAVEEN, EUGENE, PHEOBUS, AND SHANG. Because of the sexy man shoulders and all that stuff. Male characters don't need character development. All they need is sexy man shoulders. OKAY?

7. Favorite animal characters? Does Stitch count? Definitely him. Also Bianca, Tramp, Robin, and Tiger.

8. Favorite songs? Oh, this is hard. Cruella de Vil, I Won't Say, You Can Fly, I'll Make a Man out of You, Once Upon a Dream, I See the Light, When You Wish Upon a Star... Is this just animated films? Cause if not then also On the Front Porch and Feed the Birds. Are we also talking scores? Because Kingdom Dances and Transformation are perfect on every level. Does Pixar count? Define Dancing and Friend in Me are timeless, right? Should I stop now? Probably.

9. Most magical moment? I Can Fly from Peter Pan, I Can Show You the World from Aladdin and I See the Light from Tangled has somehow made it's way onto this list. (As you can see from the titles these are all songs of self-discovery, which is probably what makes them so awesome.)

10. Favorite live action film? Summer Magic!! Most underrated Disney film ever, or something like that.

11. Favorite couples? Obviously Disney is getting more romantic with each film. Let's be honest here. Naveen/Tiana and Eugene/Rapunzel had the most screen-time and character development and the best chemistry. To be fair, so do Shang and Mulan, who come in third place. They also have chemistry and all that, but 100% fewer kisses, due to the restrictive ancient culture they live in.

12. Favorite crack ship? I'll say Peter Pan and Wendy, because it's not canon, it really should never be canon, and if you look at the book for reference it's downright oedipus-ish. WHATEVER. Haters be hatin.

13. Most beautiful character design? Pocahontas and John Smith. Pity I didn't really like the movie, because WOAH they are so beautiful it hurts.

14. Favorite solo? I adore A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.

15. Favorite childhood Disney film? Robin Hood. We watched that thing sooo many times when I was little. (Also during that brief period in my life when I had a crippling fear of fire and I had to leave the room when the castle burns down.)

16. Film you appropriate more now that you're older? Oh, this is hard. Hunchback of Notre Dame? I actually didn't see it till I was a teenager, but it doesn't seem like a film a kid would really care for, plus I like it more now then I did when I first saw it.

17. Least favorite Disney film? Dumbo, Pinocchio... They scared me when I was little.

18. What project are you most looking forward too? I waited more than five years for Tangled. (I'm 17, so that's over a quarter of my life!!) I remember when THIS image came out in early 2005, I remember the announcement that it would be a new sort of CGI, that it would have a Rococo style, I remember Bear Flynn, I remember way back when Kristin Chenoweth was going to voice Rapunzel, and I remember when this image with the canon Eugene and Rapunzel was released over a year ago. Basically I was the Untitled Rapunzel Project Groupie. Now that I've seen it and it ~WAS PERFECT~ I feel like my life is fulfilled. But I guess I'm looking forward to Brave... although I know so little about it I can't say for sure.

Basically. So. Happy December and stuff! Christmas is right around the bend! I'm finally not
(too) sick anymore! I went to work this morning for the first time in five days and I missed it! Is it weird to miss working??

30 days in a day, shippy edition

Because my Case of the Romantics hasn't left yet.

• Day 01 - What is your current favorite ship?
Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers like WOAH.

• Day 02 - What was your very first ship?
Johnny and Cilla from Johnny Tremain were the first couple I seriously shipped hardcore. I was 11 I think. (Not the movie version, I'm just using that image for convenience's sake.)

• Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
Dinah and Oliver on Smallville. Cut the crap and get to the canon.

• Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
John and Aeryn. It kinda dripped off them.

• Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?
Honestly KStew and RPattz have no chemistry.

• Day 06 - The best kiss?
Sawyer and Kate, The Glass Ballerina. "You taste like fish biscuits" needs to be a pickup line or something.

• Day 07 - The most dramatic scene?
THIS. THIS THIS THIS. It's amazing.

• Day 08 - The pairing with the most baggage?
Honestly Ned and Chuck because their baggage really effects their daily relationship. You know, all that baggage.

• Day 09 - Why aren’t these two married in real life?
I don't IRL ship, it's against my principles. I do IRL ship Viv and Lawrence however, but they were married.

• Day 10 - The most believable relationship?
Calum and Deirdre. I still have a special place in my heart for them. I love normal people.

• Day 11 - What is your dream pairing?
Like a Dream Team paring? Jack and Juliet. You can't convince me those two weren't made for each other.

• Day 12 - Who had the best wedding?
Rory and Amy obviously.

• Day 13 - What is a pairing you never advertise?
Betty and Daniel. I really love them. They never even got a kiss, I was so sad.

• Day 14 - What is your favorite book pairing?
Howl and Sophie!! They have a cat baby and a talking fire ball. Your argument is invalid.

• Day 15 - What is your favorite real life pairing?
Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson.

• Day 16 - What is the absolute worst pairing?
JULIET AND SAWYER. Somehow the writers of Lost turned my two favorite characters into some sort of Frankenstein monster and now I can't stand either.

• Day 17 - A pairing you thought would never work out, but did?
Peter and Olivia. I'm still not really down with them, but I am okay with it when at first I was very decidedly against it.

• Day 18 - A historical pairing?
Totally Penelope and Odysseus.

• Day 19 - What is the cutest pairing?
I love Rose and Neil from I Capture the Castle. They're pretty cute.

• Day 20- A pairing you’ve rooted for since the beginning?
Sawyer and Kate. There are many pairs I've loved since day one but they were inevitable. I had to fight for
Sawyer and Kate like a mad woman. And I still lost...

• Day 21 - A pairing you like and no one else understands why?
Harper and Justin. Or at least, my one WoWP loving friend thinks I'm crazy.

• Day 22 - A pairing you hate and no one else understands why?
Carly and Freddie. Or at least, once again, my iCarly loving friends think I'm crazy. Creddie just rubs me the wrong way. Ugh.

• Day 23 - A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out great?
Farscape. The whole show was a love triangle in the sense that there was amusing jealousy, some great fights, and everyone had their little moment together. But it was well handled because you never really thought that John would end up with anyone but Aeryn and vice versa.

• Day 24 - A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out badly?
LOST. That whole show was a love triangle. Sure, there was some amusing jealousy, some great fights and everyone did have their little moments together. But it was unpredictable, badly plotted and no one had any idea where it was going. It was unrealistic because love, real love, doesn't work that way.

• Day 25 - A pairing that was/would-be adorable, but could never work out?
Nina and Phillip on Fringe. I'm pretty sure now they've dropped that story line, never to be explored again, but I still think it'd have been AWESOME.

• Day 26 - A pairing that you hated and ended up loving?
Not hated per say. I went into X-Files season eight completely neutral to Monica and John and unflapped by their existence. I came out of season nine I flapping fangurl.

• Day 27 - A pairing that you loved and ended up hating?
Once again, not hated per say. I went into Life thinking that Dani and Charlie could be cool together. About four or five episodes in I knew that was crazy.

• Day 28 - A pairing that you will never understand?
Doggett and Scully. First of all, she was pregnant with another man's child when she met Doggett (not that that's ever stopped fandom before) and second of all, I never felt that they were attracted to each other. Scully spent a chunk of season eight mad at Doggett and although Doggett obviously respected Scully I think he was a little scared of her. Plus Mulder would probably die if Scully ever left him. Do we want that? No.

• Day 29 - What ship had the best proposal?
Maxim and the second Mrs. DeWinters. While peeling a tangerine. So awesome.

• Day 30 - Your favorite ship forever and ever?
Mulder and Scully. Thank you and good night.

Today was exhausting. Off to make some tea.

Halloween Meme

Cause it's only like a month and four days away....

What was your first halloween costume?
One and only, first and last, Olivia Dunham. I look enough like her and her wardrobe is SIMPLE.

When was the last time you went trick-or-treating?
Try never. I'm way too old now and we never did when I was a child. Somehow I always get a bunch of candy though...

M&Ms or Skittles?
Come on, m&ms duh!

What would you love to be?
Sikozu Shanu of Farscape.

Berry or Tropical Flavors?
This is hard... berry.

Sour or Sweet?
Sour obviously... Sour Patch is a god among candy.

Ghosts or Vampires?
Ghosts can be underwhelming but I've got this soft spot for Victorian-haunted-house-ghosts.

White, Milk, or Dark Chocolate?
White chocolate is the best chocolate
.

What is your biggest pet peeve about trick-or-treaters?
The sixteen-year-old girls who wear skimpy lame costumes and expect candy.

Chocolate-covered Raisins or Peanuts?
Peanuts because I don't like raisins ever.

Bubble gum or lollipops?
I'm a gum chewer at heart.

Zombies or Aliens?
Do you know me at all? Aliens till the end of time.

I wish there was something to look forward to on Monday nights... idk. Monday is seriously anti-climactic.
