This is not really a quiz: find your greek god

I've always been a little obsessed with the Greek gods and goddess'. I read all the myths obsessively when I was little, and actually wrote new myths of my own. (yeah, I wrote fanfic when I was eight.) I fancied Athena as my patrol goddess, and Artemis as my sisters. I shipped Poseidon and Athena and Hades and Persephone with a commitment that would make any fangurl proud. I drew (bad) fanart, made myself ambrosia with mini-marshmallows and have a collection of illustrated myths. But the coolest part about the gods is using them like a Myers-Brigg Test or the Hogwarts houses, and finding your god. I give you, the Fifteen Olympians.


Zeus: King of the Gods and ruler of Mount Olympus; god of the sky, thunder, and justice. According to Wikibooks Captain Kirk is a Zeus. Their favorite movie would be The Godfather and most Zeus-types are status seekers and passive-aggressive.


Hera: Queen of the Gods and of the heavens; goddess of women, marriage, and motherhood. According to Wikibooks Nancy Regan was a Hera. Hera would have worn the highest fashion and the average Hera-type is a alpha doctor or teacher and marries a rich and respectable Zeus-type.


Athena: Goddess of wisdom, truth, crafts, and logic. According to Wikibooks, a modern-day Athena would be a lawyer or politician. Their favorite television show would be The X-Files. They would be ambitious, and strive for perfection in their life. An Athena-type would be drawn to a moody and emotional alpha-man, like Poseidon, against their will.


Poseidon: Lord of the Sea; god of the seas, earthquakes, created horses. According to Wikibooks, Bob Dylan was a Poseidon. They are always in search of loyal friends, who they can lead into a rebellion against society. They experience the depths of the soul and could be great poets or artists if they wished.


Apollo: The Sun God; god of light, healing, music, poetry and prophecy. According to Wikibooks any well-to-do lawyer is likely to be an Apollo-type. An Apollo would watch Masterpiece Theater on PBS and loves baseball. They are hard workers, relentlessly cheery and want to rid the world of "the darkness."


Artemis: Goddess of the hunt, of maidens, and the moon. According to Wikibooks, Amelia Earhart was an Artemis. An Artemis' favorite movie would be Alien, and she would keep her hair short as a rule. An Artemis is adventurous, curious and a loner by choice, whose best friend is nature.


Hermes: God of commerce, speed, thieves, and trade. According to Wikibooks, a Hermes-type's favorite television show would be The Simpsons. A Hermes is a trickster. They would be quick-thinking, witty, swift and hysterical. He was the only god who could travel to The Underworld, because he didn't take anything seriously, and was unaffected there.


Hestia: Goddess of the hearth and home. According to Wikibooks, a Hestia-type would love Martha Stewart. They would dedicate their lives to making a home. They are light hearted, creative, social and good planners. When paired with a Hermes, together they can create an ideal and happy home.


Hades: Lord of the Dead; god of the Underworld and earthly wealth. According to Wikibooks, both Freud and Edward Cullen are Hades-types. A Hades would be very lonely, bogged down with the "burden of the human race." Because of this they are often bitter and are very private with their emotions and thoughts.


Persephone: Queen of the Dead, goddess of the seasons and death. According to Wikibooks, a Persephone would be passive and uninterested in the material world. She would likely be slightly bi-polar, spiritual, and a psychologist, as she is the one who supports and guides her husband as well as characters like Odysseus and Psyche.


Demeter: Goddess of fertility, agriculture, nature, and the seasons. According to Wikibooks, Mother Theresa was a Demeter. A Demeter-type's favorite movie would be Little Woman, and they want to heal everyone. They are in-tune with nature and would also be attracted to a Dionysus-type, because they want to fix them.


Dionysus: God of wine, parties, and merriment. According to Wikibooks, John Lennon was a Dionysus. A Dionysus-type's life goal is to find meaning. They would lack "real world" goals. They live by their principles, even if they haven't found them yet. They would party a lot, then feel bad about it.


Ares: God of war, frenzy, hatred, and bloodshed. According to Wikibooks, an Ares-type's favorite movie would be any big budget action film. An Ares would long for independence above all, not wanting to be tied to anyone. They are aggressive, moody and fighters, but are also very passionate.


Aphrodite: Goddess of love, beauty, and desire. According to Wikibooks, Elizabeth Taylor was an Aphrodite. An Aphrodite's favorite film would be anything fluffy from the 30's. They are usually vain and dull, but well-meaning overall. They are likely to be caught in a love-triangle, unable to pick a man.


Hephaestus: Blacksmith to the Gods; god of fire and the forges. According to Wikibooks (which is never wrong) Thomas Edison is a Hephaestus-type. They want to be useful most of all. They are giving and kind, but dislike humanity as a whole, despite spending their lives creating things for other people.

Of course there are about 19 other minor gods and demigods, but I'm stopping here. Also, read Percy Jackson and the Olympians! It's amazzzinnngg! Also I am in love with Poseidon, and it's awesome reading a book written in the traditional "epic" style, but set in the USA!
