Guilty Pleasure Series Part 2: Twinkies, Etc

It is a universally known fact of life that Little Debbie's, Hostess, Drakes Cakes and Entenmman's are just really really bad for you. Considering I pretty much had sugar for lunch today I thought it would be appropriate to showcase my five favorite preservative-pumped corn syrup-filled guilty pleasures.

Hostess' Orange Cupcakes. Words can not describe how much I love these. They've been my favorite for as long as I can remember. Sadly, they are like 320 calories per pack. I don't eat them very often.

BLUEBERRY MINI BITES.
Okay, sorry, I needed a minute to calm down. My mom refused to buy them when I was younger, they were too expensive or something. So whenever my grandmother offered me a treat, I picked these.

I'm one of those rare people who actually sincerely loves Twinkies. But come on, they're just sugar and Crisco. Everyone knows that.

Drake's Yodels are the best chocolate snack cake this side of like, the Milkyway or something. I always try to eat the chocolate of first and then peel open the cake, but it never really works.

No one in my family likes Little Debbie's Zebra Cakes but me, so I don't think I've had one in about two years. But it's the white chocolate that gets me. It's by far my favorite chocolate, and I can't think of any other snack cake that actually has white chocolate.

Sure I also love real desserts filled with real ingredients like key lime pie or oatmeal raisin cookies, but anyone who hates snack cakes have no heart.

Oh wow. This is taking me back. In high school the lunchroom sold Zebra cakes for a quarter so we'd all take turns treating the table. Every day one of us would head over to the line and buy like $5 worth of the cakes and pass them around. I don't think I've had one since graduating. Good times.

P.S. Love the blog! I look forward to it popping up in my reader every day.
