Luminous Fiction

Or rather, books Christians should read if they want to feel that wonderful warm Christian feeling.

Home, Marilynne Robinson. Truly one of the best books I have ever read. Forgiveness and grace kinds jumps off the pages at you.

The Dean's Watch, Elizabeth Goudge. I honestly do not believe I have mentioned this book on my blog before. It's probably Goudge's best and definitely my favorite.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, JK Rowling. I feel bad for Atheist who are Harry Potter fans. They must really miss the point, right?

Downright Dencey, Caroline Dale Snedeker. Please, somebody, read this book! I'll type it up for you if it means you'll read it!!

Brideshead Revisited, Evelyn Waugh. I can't think of another book that exhibits faith so wonderfully.

The Silver Chair, CS Lewis. Although this is not my favorite of the Narnia books, it is the most effective when it comes to showing off Christianity. That whole faith thing again.

The Door in the Wall, Marguerite de Angeli. Funny, I read this book dozens of times as a kid but it wasn't till recently that I realized what a beautiful piece of Christian literature it is.

I bought a $95 black cloak with green trim. Perfect for all my Medieval, Colonial and Narcissa Malfoy needs!
Really, it's heavenly.
