A Dinner Party

Yesterday, while waiting for the ferry, we asked each other questions. Like the genie question, and which dead people you'd want to talk to. And then there was this question: Which five authors, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party?

Edith Wharton. She's the suppressed genius. Having her there would bring out the men's views on woman's rights.

PG Wodehouse. He is just funny and AWESOME and would keep the dinner witty and lively and fascinating.

F Scott Fitzgerald. He's the mopey pagan, he'd keep thing interesting and debates going.

Evelyn Waugh. He's the sparkly one in the bunch. He'd probably just be nice to be around.

GK Chesterton. He's the crazy theologian who'd have fun picking apart everyone else's world view.

Farscape tonight perhaps? We've only got six episodes of that left. I am feeling that END OF SUMMER CRUNCH. Trying to pack in as much fun as humanly possible.
