I Still Can't Run In Pumps

I just can not. People do it all the time on tv. Lois can do it. Scully can do it. Actually, all you have to do is go to Grand Central during rush hour. Every business woman between the age of 20 and 60 is running and shoving and bouncing in heels. I can't. How does one learn such things? I've read that one needs to wear heels around the house for a month. That, I'd imagine, should do it.

I have a pair which bares much resemblance to this one. Only mine are not open toed.

I think these are very pretty, but any woman who'd force her foot into it must be deranged. I don't understand the concept of heels, why do we do it?

These though, look wearable. Question. Why put the pretty pattern on the inside? No one can see it.

These are rather nice. Although I think the pink is a bit much, I am fond of the bow.

This shoe is actually rather ugly. I am posting it because I think it bares a rather hilarious resemblance to a dead fish. Do you see it? Yes? Good.

Well, goodbye. I did my first full school day today. I wanted to paint for a while but that will have to wait. We have a severe lack of surface area in my home.

Life, I ownz it

Oh yes. Life season 2, I am the proud owner of it! You must watch it too! Do not let appearances device you. This is not just any other crime show. Also because 1+1=1, and that word is love! (Avoid this post if you dislike walking spoiler machines, one of which I am.)

This is Charlie Crew. He was a cop, who went to prison for 12 years for a crime he didn't commit. When he got out a lot of stuff was different. Like, there were cell phones. And Twitter. And automatic soap dispensers. Also his wife had left him and remarried. Charlie deals with all this by being Zen. And eating lots of organic fruit, which Reese keeps telling him will kill him. Charlie is also cooler then Chuck Norris.

This is Dani Reese. Her dad is pretty evil, but she'd prefer not to know about that. She used to be an alcoholic, she generally dislikes people, and she is very unfamiliar with being happy for no reason. She's Charlie's partner, and although 94% is what he says annoys her, she likes working with him, cause he's a good cop. She seems to also eat lots of chocolate. I don't get it.

This is Tidwell, the captain. He's from New York, he's been married like 5 times, and divorced just as many. He doesn't really understand Charlie, but is good at going with the flow. He and Reese have sort of a relationship during the second season that seems to go nowhere for obvious reasons. He thinks LA is crazy, and is always saying things that make Reese and Crews look at each other in a confused manner.

This is Agent Bodner. He's an FBI agent, who starts of as a bad guy, and ends up as an friend. He married his partner, has a mini-van and generally dislikes the LAPD. (That's okay Bodner, they generally dislike you too.)

This is Ted Early. Ted has also been in jail, he is Charlie's friend and he manages Charlie's 50+ Million Dollars. Ted is a little crazy. He's afraid of everything and doesn't like people. His wife also divorced him while he was in jail, and doesn't talk to him anymore, because Ted is not like Charlie. Ted actually committed the crime. Ted is also in love with Olivia, the woman who was engaged to Charlie's dad. He goes to Spain to find her.

This is Rayborn. He is pretty awesome because he faked his own death and also because he has a really nice boat. But he's bad too. Don't forget that.

This is Roman. Roman is one of the best bad guys ever, and the actor is like a genius. (He also played three characters on Terminator: TSSC, which suffered the same fate.) Roman is jealous of Charlie and thinks he owns LA. He doesn't though. He thinks he can get away with kidnapping Dani and Charlie. He can't though.

This is Rachel Seybolt. She's really sad all the time, and has reason for it because her whole family is dead. In the end though you don't really know what happens to her. I'm assuming she's alive. I think that she continues to live with Charlie and Ted and maybe goes to college and becomes friends with Dani. And I also think she should become an inspirational post-modern artist who heals people through her art. That would be good.

There are lots of wacky cases too of course. Because this is a crime drama. Crews and Reese always end up in confusing and awkward situations. Like the one in the picture above.

As you can see, this post totally got away from me. I'll leave you with this. It's an amazing show, watch it. And here are links to three beautiful songs composed by a girl who loves Life. Not only is there fanart and fanfic, but now there is fanmusic!

One Big Happy Disney Family

These children fill my life with such joy.

Tisdale and Miley!

I wish I knew where this photo came from. And I also wish I knew whether those rumors that Brenda and Joe dated are true or not.

Selena and David! My favorites!

On the set of HM...

Debbie Ryan and Jennifer Stone at her 16th birthday party. (Thankgoodness all these chillins have Twitters...)

Selena and Jennifer wearing matching shirts.

Demi and Tiffany on the SwaC set!

I find their friendship so adorable.

Best picture ever? I mean, Gaston looks like he wants to die, Taylor is like a foot taller then everyone else, and for some reason Miley is in sweats.

Selena and David at NY Fashion Week. Her cuteness knows no end.

In other news the WoWP movie rocked. Best DCOM so far this year definitely. (I can see Meagan rolling her eyes as she reads this. Sorry, I can't help it. Disney has eaten my brain.)

My Beard Is Crazy Delicious

I have a new favorite artist. Marc Johns! I first saw his art last week while in Barnes and Nobles with a good friend, and I went back yesterday to buy his book, Serious Drawings. I'm not sure why I love him so much, but his art is what I've always wanted to draw. Charming, witty, happy, colorful, inspiring, hysterical. Best part about Marc Johns? He stated off on the internet.

I believe that Marc Johns hit the nail on the head with this one.

He has a limitless imagination.

So. True. You see? Marc Johns understands modern culture.

But Marc Johns is also a philosopher.

He tells it like it is.

Marc Johns is an excellent business person as well.

And he can rule with an iron fist.

Do you see how awesome he is? Do you see? I want to be him when I grow up. And one more thing. Can I brag for like two and a half seconds? I have the best daddy ever. He bought me Life Season 2 for no apparent reason except for that he loves me! Now I do not have to wait for Christmas and have something fun to watch and someone pretty to swoon over while my sister's "education" forces an unwanted X-Files hiatus upon me!!

Fresh Fruit

It will soon be a thing of the past. I've become spoiled this spring and summer, having fresh peaches, plums, blueberries, raspberries and cantaloupe... Come October that will all be gone and I'm not sure if I can deal! Obviously I need to move to Southern California or something. Where do they grow fruit all year round? I'm assuming the south somewhere. Here is some fruit that has been on my mind...

Peaches

Mango

Apricots

Pomegranates

Blackberries

Honey Dew

Plums

Strawberries

Today I had fresh strawberries and blueberries with this European Breakfast at Sweet Melissa's! The cheese and bread and stuff was amazing, but those strawberries were just like... no words. In other news we are going to do a little X-Files hiatus. We've watched 2 1/2 seasons in exactly 2 1/2 months, and are going to break for a while while my sister gets settled in college. I don't know what I'm going to do! I'm going to miss
Mulder my one true love so much! (Who is this Scully person you speak of? Mulder is mine.)

If I Had Only ONE Outfit

So on Facebook there is this LivingSocial application, which like everyone has. It has these random questions, and you pick five answers. Like, pick 5 people to fight off a zombie invasion of America. (Doctor/Rose, John Locke, Mulder/Scully, Clark Kent, Catherine Weaver) Or pick 5 things you can't leave the house without. (My cellphone, ten dollars, my keys, chap stick and a pocket mirror) So it challenged me to pick one outfit made up of five pieces that I could wear everyday. Undergarments don't count. But if you were wondering, it would be Hane's Hipster size 16 (kids 16, not adults, lol) and a beige Victoria's Secret Bio-Fit size 36C.

Dress pants. I find them a lot more comfy then jeans, which I hate. And skirts are too finicky.

A white v-neck. Plain, comfortable, flattering. An obvious choice.

A black cashmere cardigan. I love these, they are just as comfy as sweatshirts, and prettier.

Lowtop Converse. Easy going, good for walking, not ugly.

A silver bracelet on my left wrist. I got a charm bracelet for my like, 12th birthday. I hardly ever wore it. One day, almost 6 months ago I took the charms off and put on the bracelet. I haven't taken it off yet.

I have one seriously boring fashion sense, but I like it.
I have this problem with color. I just don't like wearing it. In my art, in my decor style, in my food even, color is imperative, but I just don't like it in fashion. Oh well.

Five Hits and a Miss: Wardrobe

Sooo today I discovered Looklet while at my bff's house for the weekend! I find creating new outfits enjoyable, but whats even more fun then that is creating outfits that fit different characters from books, movies and tv shows. So is one outfit for all the female characters mentioned in my previous entry. I used appropriate backgrounds as well.

Olivia Dunham

Chloe Sullivan

Dana Scully

Dani Reese

Olive Snook

Kate Austen

P.S. Click them to see them bigger and prettier! Bigger and prettier is always good. G'night folks!
