"F" is for French Toast

The best of all the breakfast foods. (Not really, but for all intents and purposes for today it will be.)

Linguistics is the most amazing thing I've ever studied in my life. OMG everyone go learn about morphemes and phonemes and fusional languages and the IPA and the Great Vowel Shift!!

The goose is getting fat.

Christmas post... a month and a half early. But I'm already Christmas shopping, so whatever!

Hooray for Christmas dinner.

Just Another Day

Another day. This one will be illustrated in pictures.

I ate a bowl of broccoli rabe at work this morning because it was there and I was hungry.

This was me at chem lab. In all my gear that makes me feel like a pathologist, play-acting at mad scientist.

Mommy got me a new Edith book from the library!

I am currently sitting on this number, feeling a bit drained.

This movie came out today. So instead of renting it (because video stores are extinct) I scowered Youtube for clips.

I had hot cocoa, hahaha.

I gave myself a french manicure.... it looks nice from a distance.

OKAY now I am going to bed. After squeezing out maybe 300 more words. If I can.

My day... in lame pictures

I am a brain-dead zombie. I can't seem to focus. So I'll document my day via images.

I had oatmeal for breakfast, which is pretty cool because I never have oatmeal because my own oatmeal tastes awful and I need my mom to make it for me.

So I got to the half-way point in my composition-notebook-diary. Keeping a diary is cool and keeping them in composition notebooks keeps them consistent.

I translated the lyrics of a Deutsch song which was pretty cool.

Smallville's 200th episode is tonight, which is pretty cool. Actually I think more along the lines of awesome.

I had a pumpkin latte at Dunkin' Donuts. The first of the season, which is pretty cool. Although now I have a stomach ache.

I'm reading this book which is pretty cool. It's a collection of Jane Austen litcrit essays. My copy has a prettier cover.

I worried about Fringe. I asked it very nicely not to cross this one line... and then it went and did it. And now we're literally sleeping with the enemy. Not cool.

And that was my riveting day minus about five hours of school and some dish washing and laundry folding. WOOT.

Fall Foods

Something about 50 degree weather and bright red trees makes me think about food.... more than usual.

Pecan pie. I've never made a good pecan pie. Actually, I haven't really made many pecan pies. But I do enjoy eating them. They make your teeth hurt.

Twinings tea. After a summer of light teas like Yogi and Stash it's time to get back to the serious teas. And Twinings is serious. Their Afternoon Tea brewed loose is perfection.

Strip steak. It's just good man.

Baked macaroni and cheese. I believe I have expressed my love for mac'n'cheese before, but something about it screams OCTOBER.

Werthers caramels. So I was sitting at my desk today, listening to Sufjan and reading
All Quiet on the Western Front and I swear, all I could think about were these stupid caramels.

White chocolate. I find white chocolate very autumnal. (Dark is winter and milk is spring and summer is void of chocolate.)

Broiled potatoes. My mom has started making these again, all covered in olive oil and spices...

Graham crackers. There is a simple beauty in a graham cracker. It's been way too long since I've had one.

(Also last night I watched Bella Martha, a German movie about two chefs which meant LOTS OF FOOD. You should watch it, it's awesome! God made subtitles for a reason you know.)

Oh, Tumblr again...

I'm wasting time before I have to leave for Comic-Con. UGH. Why did I get up so early?? So have some Tumblr pictures.

I'll defend my House till my dying breath.

My favorite LotR characters. I've spent years searching for a shirt with the tree of Gondor on it, to no avail. If you know where I can find one, please leave a comment!!

I wish I could do watercolors like this.

Purple boots and her words of wisdom....

A deer hunter. The tumblr I found this on didn't have a name of the artist.

Anyone who hates Lois must just not have a soul or feelings or eyes. I see so much of myself in her.

I haven't had proper pancakes in months...

Well. ONE MORE HOUR TILL I LEAVE. This is madness.

Halloween Meme

Cause it's only like a month and four days away....

What was your first halloween costume?
One and only, first and last, Olivia Dunham. I look enough like her and her wardrobe is SIMPLE.

When was the last time you went trick-or-treating?
Try never. I'm way too old now and we never did when I was a child. Somehow I always get a bunch of candy though...

M&Ms or Skittles?
Come on, m&ms duh!

What would you love to be?
Sikozu Shanu of Farscape.

Berry or Tropical Flavors?
This is hard... berry.

Sour or Sweet?
Sour obviously... Sour Patch is a god among candy.

Ghosts or Vampires?
Ghosts can be underwhelming but I've got this soft spot for Victorian-haunted-house-ghosts.

White, Milk, or Dark Chocolate?
White chocolate is the best chocolate
.

What is your biggest pet peeve about trick-or-treaters?
The sixteen-year-old girls who wear skimpy lame costumes and expect candy.

Chocolate-covered Raisins or Peanuts?
Peanuts because I don't like raisins ever.

Bubble gum or lollipops?
I'm a gum chewer at heart.

Zombies or Aliens?
Do you know me at all? Aliens till the end of time.

I wish there was something to look forward to on Monday nights... idk. Monday is seriously anti-climactic.
