Autumn Colors

Two posts because I might not be posting this weekend due to COMIC-CON. Anyway. Autumn colors. The whole month is October should be a national holiday so we can enjoy it.

I love having cold feet because I love wearing socks. Oh, autumn. You do strange things to me. You make me read Lord of the Rings, bake scones, listen Mumford and Sons and make six cups of tea in one day. You make me feel lonely.

Red and Heather

Etsy fun!

I'm reading Sunshine by Robin McKinley and drinking tea and it's kinda cold so it's a good day. Pity I have to make dinner tonight.

Color Songs

Songs that speak explicitly about one color always appear in my mind as such.

Madder Red, Yeasayer

White as Snow, Jon Foreman

Green Grass, Red Tree, The Innocence Mission

White Flag, Dido

Yellow, Coldplay

The Blackest Lily, Corinne Bailey Rae

Gray or Blue, Jaymay

I spent the entire day doing absolutely nothing in the Financial District. Just wandered. And took a side trip to Orlando. THAT IS IN MANHATTAN. How did I not know that? Also I had awesome diner at Au Bon Pain. ♥

Color Collection

I love putting these together. My favorite colors, metallic-y oranges and greens.

Nasty day so far. My mom is sick and my siblings are grumpy. Oh well. I shall try to scrape together an awesome lunch.
EDIT: I caved and ordered in Chinese.

Gray-Blues

Those charcoaly gray-blue colors are my favorite. As a dull person who gravitates towards black all the time sometimes gray-blues are good to brighten things up. All of these are from Etsy.

Last night we went to the best concert ever. Standing room, but with nice people who did not crowd surf, mosh or act like complete idiots. We saw The Narrative, The Gay Blades and Relient K. I didn't get home till 2am. I feel like the waking dead.

Color Splash

Color Splash is my favorite design show. David is like a design god and my dream home would be entirely done by him. He is very modern but always elegant, something that modern homes lack. He is not afraid of color, texture and loud patterns. Also he paints everyone original paintings for their roooooms! I want a David painting! Really he is boss.

David is smiley and the most genuinely enthusiastic designer on HGTV.

Look at this amazing thing he painted that I want.

He just stands there like, yeah, imma gonna paint now! In in 3 hours BOOM awesomeness on canvas.

Look at this one room he did with that freaking awesome mural thing.

Look at this other room he did.

A lovely blue room.

A colorsplashed kitchen!

Note the lovely art on the wall.

The never ending flow of spoilers that io9 has had this weekend makes me gleeful. Oh ComicCon, why do you have to be over?
(Listen to this piece of heaven if you want a soothed soul. For Emma, Bon Iver.)

Pink Dresses

I think I've done black dresses, white dresses, green dresses. So. Pink dresses.

OMG SPOILERS GET OUT:
I can't even begin to tell you how in awe I am. All my questions have been answered. Why can't you have babies? Why can't you get sick? How is it that you can time travel? Who was talking in Jacob's cabin? Was the plane crash fate? Who are the original inhabitants? "Guy's where are we?" Why are people special? Why can only certain people see the island? Why does the island move? ALL THIS AND MORE HAS BEEN ANSWERED. Also if MiB can imitate people, then any dead person on the island, any vision a character had, everything from Yemi to Kate's horse to Taller Ghost Walt, was probably MiB. Lastly, Richard and Isabella are the new Lost OTP. Take notes Jack and Kate and Sawyer. This is how it's done. Just remember, God loves you as he loved Jacob.

Handpicked Items

I'm doing my own "Handpicked Items" from Etsy! I feel like the whole world is heather gray today.

I really, really love birds.
Watched Farscape last night. Pa'u is so much fun to say.
My Government Paper of Epic Proportions is going well.
Following IcedTeaInTheBag is just too much fun.
It's been ten years since Daniel died. I feel like I need to mention it somewhere or I'll go crazy.
He'd definitely look like Justin Hartley though.
